Gabriel (special pedagogue), Emmanuel (social worker) and Elijah (studies social rehabilitation) have taken care of 134 villages in Nkoranza North and South up to now. It becomes clear that buying two motorbikes made sense, as many areas are almost inaccessible. They visit families with disabled children and provide support with regard to assistive devices, therapy and school attendance(if ramps need to be built for unimpeded access to classrooms).
Gabriel and Emanuel administer prescribed medications for epilepsy provided by the health service. Some villages have parent support groups and day care facilities for children with disabilities. They start income-generating activities so that parents are able to make a contribution to cover the running costs (like agricultural projects).
Other villages have created jobs for teenagers like caring for goats, sheeps, rabbits and pigs. Not only the local radio station but also church services help to inform and clarify the people about disabilities.
